What is Catnip ?

Catnip is a member of the mint family. It contains Nepeta Cataria and approximately 80% of cats are irresistibly attracted to it.  Catnip stimulates a cat’s olfactory senses and when it is added to toys it will stimulate, entertain and relax your cat.

Most kittens less than a year old will not react to it.

How do you use Catnip for a cat ?

You can give catnip to a cat either loose or in a toy. You can scatter loose catnp in a bed if you wish to encourage a cat to use or put it around the bottom of a scratching post. Putting catnip in toys is a great way to give it to your cat as it gives them something to play with and is less messy than the loose catnip. We sell catnip with refillable toy mice, fish and hearts and also Catnip Sacks which are sacks of organic cotton filled with a mix of buckwheat hulls and catnip.

The catnip that we are using is grown organically in North America, it is the freshest on the market. We only use the most recent harvest so you never receive catnip that is years old. Also we only use the leaves and flowers of the plant. Many of our competitors supply catnip that is many years old and contains ground stems in the mix which means that it is not as potent for your cat.

The quality of the catnip you use is very important.  We promise to only supply you the freshest dried catnip that has been grown completely organically.  This assures you the very best catnip for your very precious cat..

We are based in the Midlands of Ireland where we have been trading for over five years. We are cat lovers ourselves and the company is named after our tabby, Fred. We are the catnip suppliers of choice in Ireland and we are well known for our customer service.

How long does it take to receive an order ?

We ship most orders within one working day of receiving the order and never more than two. The service we use should deliver within two to four days of dispatch but there have been some delays due to the current situation. If you have not received your order by the eighth working day after you placed it we will give you an immediate refund or resend the order according to your wishes.
